A few weeks ago Ball and Buck C.E.O Mark Bollman headed to Connecticut’s country side to Lime Rock Park, the classic racecourse that is owned by Skip Barber and home to the Lime Rock Historic Festival. 

The track itself is a 1.5 miles long with seven turns and is listed on the U.S. National Register Historic Places. The lap record is 43 seconds, though of course that wasn’t being challenged the day we went. 

The focus of this year’s Historic Festival was Mercedes, but with some 250 cars participating in total, there was diverse representation, though certainly a strong Bavarian contingent! The festival has been ongoing since 1983, making it one of the Northeast’s most important classic race weekends. And, as you can see, one of the most beautiful as well.
